Jam-Packed Jumping!

Wednesdays 10am-11am with Maddie Speagle

2/23-4/13

Work on building great jumping technique with grids, drills, and body awareness work! We will cover proper striding and form for both extension and collection. We will also work on improving independence on the spreads, such as the triple, broad jump, tire, and double. This class focuses on your dog and not on handling! This is great if you want to help your dog keep bars up, take tighter turns, and improve your dog's forward focus.

Prerequisite: Completion of Agility 101 at minimum, Intro. to Sequencing Preferred

Fancy Footwork

Wednesdays 3pm-4pm with Maddie Speagle

2/23-4/13

Are you getting tripped up on your crosses? Want to work on improving your speed and efficiency in your handling while also increasing your dog's confidence? Join Maddie as she helps you execute short drills to improve your footwork! This is great if you have a greener dog moving from Sequencing to Handling, or if you just feel like your crosses could be better! We'll get down into the details of how to become a stronger, quicker, more consistent handler.

Prerequisite: Completion Intro. to Sequencing or similar level

Agility Ring Prep

2 hour long class, Fridays 2pm-4pm, 3/4/22-4/15/22 with Ashley Castro

The class meets for 6 total weeks with no class on 4/1

This two-hour class works to help prepare your dog for the competition ring! This is perfect for dogs who are preparing to show, dogs who are distracted in the ring, dogs who get overly aroused at shows, and dogs who do not hold criteria at shows. We will cover both the human and dog mental management techniques to get a calm, consistent, fast performance! Focus will be on fading reinforcers, setting a routine that works for each team, working through distractions and pressure from the environment, how to use your ring time and FEO/fix and go options properly, plans for what to do when things go wrong, and how to fix them! We will run courses and sequences as part of the class, but the focus will not be on handling - this is about getting both ends of the leash confident and connected!

Prerequisite: Dogs should be familiar with all obstacles and be getting ready to show or currently showing.
