Class Policies
Check Class Location
Please note that Level Up has TWO Locations for Agility classes. Please be sure to check which location your classes are at. If you show up at the wrong location, Level Up will not issue you a credit or refund. All classes have the locations listed in the schedule and registration page. All Basic Manners and Advanced Manners classes are always located at the Old Richfood Rd location.
“5 Minute Rule”
Please wait outside until 5 minutes before your class. Although our rings are fenced, we want to make sure off leash dogs in the building are secured when we expect high volumes of traffic in/out of the doors.
Cancellations, Refunds, & Absences
In the event of cancellations due to weather or other acts of god, we will try to contact you as soon as possible via email, as well as post on our public Facebook page. Please check these outlets if the weather seems suspicious. Your class sessions will be extended appropriately to reflect any cancellations.
With few exceptions, refunds will not be given. If you have to miss a class, you may be able to make it up within your class session if there is space, but class sessions will not be extended in length. Dogs moving through our classes at an exceptional pace can always move up in level during their class session, if we have room!
Dog Behavior and Aggression
Our group classes are not currently designed to deal with human or dog aggression cases. If you are struggling with aggression or reactivity, please reach out to us and we can discuss options! In some cases, dogs may be overwhelmed in group classes. In this case, we will try to transfer your package to private lessons. We may refer certain cases out to professionals who specialize in your dog’s behavior struggles.
Aggressive behavior includes: any barking or lunging at people or dogs on a leash, snapping at other people or dogs, and biting (aside from puppy/play biting).
Accidents on the Turf
This is for the artificial turf area only (upper level agility classes only - no manners classes will be held on the turf). We work hard to maintain our state-of-the-art turf! Accidents on the turf will incur a $5 charge. Accidents include excessive mess with treats or dog hair, feces, urine, vomit, and spilled food or drink. You are responsible for cleaning up after yourself. Use appropriate spray and only blot using paper towels. Use the red rags to clean feces, then dispose of them outside. Use the scrub brush if needed! Thank you for helping us keep LU clean!
