Our Focus

At Level Up, we strive to bring out the best in your dog. We focus on teaching your dogs the skills they need to behave, tackling nuisance behaviors, and giving you the tools to continue having a well behaved dog. We use a reward based system to make learning fun!

We believe that reward-based training not only encourages the dog to learn, but also fosters a stronger bond between the dog and the owner. Level Up programs provide a positive training experience for dogs and owners alike.

We also stay educated to ensure we know the best ways to help you. We pride ourselves on continuing our professional education so we can provide you with the most up-to-date training techniques and problem-solving solutions.

 What is reward-based training?

Reward-based dog training just means that the dog is rewarded for doing something the owner has asked of them, usually with a treat or a favorite toy.  Rewards make the dog more likely to repeat the desired behavior and are one of the most powerful training tools.  As the dog begins to learn what is expected, the treats are phased out and replaced with praise. Plus, it makes for a happy dog and a happy owner!

What makes us different?

We are Richmond's only sports complex devoted to dogs! Our matted and turf covered warehouse provides a safe, cushioned area for dogs to work and compete in.

In addition to educating our clients and ourselves, we also give back to the community. We frequently partner with various local rescues to donate training packages to high risk or high energy foster dogs as well as providing discounts for adopted dogs.
